Yarn Group
at Penicuik (West Street) Arts Centre, 4 West Street, Penicuik, Midlothian EH26 9DL between 10am and noon each Wednesday morning.
Bring your knitting or crochet, get help with a woolly problem, learn a new technique and share experiences. This group may develop in to spinning and feltmaking, too.
£2 payable on the day for use of room.

Learn to spin using a spinning wheel with tutor Janet Renouf-Miller.

Spinning course - improvers weekend
Saturday AND Sunday
For those who have already mastered the basics of spinning using a spinning wheel. Learn different spinning and plying methods, learn to spin different thicknesses of yarn, carding and blending with hand carders and more.
Fibre provided. Bring your own wheel if possible. Wheel may be available to hire on the day (please let us know if you will need one).

Haddington Spinners Open Day
Saturday 4th March, Top Floor of Poldrate Granary, Gifford Road, Haddington, East Lothian EH41 4DA
10am - 4pm
Scottish Fibres will be present, selling their wide range of spinning, weaving and dyeing supplies plus many other craft items.
Spinners and Weavers: bring your spinning wheel, spindle, looms, knitting or other craft and spend the day with us. Everyone welcome to browse, buy, see spiners and weavers in action.
Tea and coffee and home baking available for a small donation.

Introduction to Felting course
An introduction to feltmaking using wet and dry methods. Participants will have the opportunity to try various feltmaking techniques on a small scale and will create a variety of decorations for Christmas. A flat felted piece: eg table centre; using a resist: eg Christmas stocking; 3D needlefelted item eg a robin.
Minimum numbers apply and course will not go ahead if this is not reached.
