Mawata caps - each
Silk mawata caps or bells made from silk cocoons, each have several layers which can be pulled apart to give even finer fibre. As all silk, these dye very well and can then be spun or used in papermaking and feltwork.
Weights vary, but approx 15g each

Dyed Sari Silk
Sari Silk tops is a recycled handmade and hand dyed product. Please be aware that colours may run, so we suggest only cold water use. .
As it is handmade, there may be a colour/shade difference in batches and the picture is for basic colour reference. There are lots of colours within each bundle and it will blend with or ply with many different shades giving a different end result each time.

Tops are thicker strands than rovings, but the diameter of the silk remains very fine.
