Cotton noil fibre is excellent for papermaking and felting. As the staple is short it is best to blend this for spinning.

Neps or knops are a by-product of the fibre industry but are exciting to use in spinning to make Donegal type yarn or texture in feltmaking. These are natural coloured, undyed neps in 50g packs.

Made from sting-less nettles this unusual white fibre in tops form is high in lustre and is wonderful spun on its own or blended with other vegetable fibres. This fibre looks and feels like very fine flax.

Lustrous, fine, bright white fibre from wood pulp which looks and feels like silk.
Being a vegetable fibre, this needs fibre-reactive dyes, but try blending it with wool and then dyeing it to give lovely varied shades.
