Books & Magazines

We carry a comprehensive range of craft books for knitting and crochet, dyeing, embroidery and beading, felting, spinning and weaving and other crafts. Titles are listed alphabetically under their subject. We also have a constantly changing range of pre-owned craft books. Craft magazines are supplied individually or by annual subscription.

The button range contains unusual buttons including wooden, metal and leather.

Dyes and Fabric Paints

In our dye section we have a range of natural plant dyes and chemical dyes along with mordants.

Embroidery & Quilting Equipment

Equipment from simple embroidery hoops to professional quilting stands are available in the section.

Fabric and accessories

Included are fabrics for feltmaking and rugmaking along with a range of accessories.

Felting equipment

To complement the felting fibres in our fibre section we have all the necessary equipment for this craft including felting needles, foot and hat moulds and mats.

Our comprehensive fibre range includes, natural and dyed merino, natural fibre from many sheep breeds and other animals as well as vegetable fibres and silks for spinning, felting and other crafts.

We now have the pleasure of supplying Hama beads. We stock the full range, but please contact us if there is anything you would like which is not shown. Items include Winnie the Pooh and Disney Princess and many gift sets in different ranges and prices from £1 to £20.00

Knitting Needles and Crochet Hooks

We now carry one of the largest ranges of wooden knitting needles and crochet hooks in the UK including KnitPro Symphonie interchangeable wooden needles and hooks and can provide a unique range of stock and made to order Tunisian hooks.

Knitting Patterns and Craft Kits

Individual knitting patterns are contained in this section with books with many more patterns in our knitting book section.
Our craft kit range is designed to provide a "taster" for the beginner without major investment. Further materials can be obtained from the relevant area of our online shop.

Printed cards

A unique range of monochrome and colour cards with blank insides relating to fibre producing and other animals.

Sheepy things

For light relief we have a range of soft toys, mainly sheep and collie dogs from keyring to doorstop size.

Silk painting

The silk painting range contains silk fabrics (scarves, scrunchies and ties) along with silk specific dyes.

Spinning equipment

A comprehensive range of Ashford and Louet spinning wheels and accessories along with associated equipment including drop spindles and carders.

Tassel Making or Passementerie

We manufacture wooden tassel moulds to customers' specifications.

Weaving equipment

A full range of Ashford and Louet weaving looms and equipment and simpler weaving equipment such as peg looms along with tapestry and weaving frames.

Yarns and Threads

A range of yarns from simple cotton and silk spools through pure wool Tekapo yarn to the exotics banana and recycled sari yarns.
